What’s in a Theme? Mysteries/Oddities/What is it? PHMC Virtual Collections Showcase
Museum professionals from PHMC sites will be presenting and discussing objects from their collections that relate to the shared theme of “Mystery/Oddities/What is it?”
March’s PHMC Virtual collection Showcase will feature, Kerry Mohn from Ephrata Cloister and a glass trumpet, Jennifer Royer from Landis Valley with a miniature amulet/prayer, Joshua Fox from PA Lumber Museum with a skidding pole, Sarah Buffington from Old Economy Village with an iron “dinosaur tooth” and canning jars with mystery contents, and Rachel Yerger from Bureau of Historic Sites and Museums with a turned wooden object.
Each site will have 5 minutes to make the case as to why their object best embodies the theme. Then the audience will vote for their favorite. the winning site will get to host a future episode of this program and select a theme of their choice.
