Our Mission Statement
Old Economy Village interprets the history of the Harmony Society, a highly successful 19th century religious communal society, and preserves and interprets the unique material culture of the Society during its period of residence in Beaver County, Pennsylvania for citizens of and visitors to the Commonwealth.

The Old Economy Village was the home of the nineteenth century Christian communal group, the Harmony Society. Established in 1824, Economy was known worldwide for its piety and industrial prosperity.

ourmissionThe Village, a National Historic Landmark site, is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.

It is located at Fourteenth and Church Streets, in the National Register Historic District of Ambridge, Pennsylvania.

The site is open March through December, Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 PM and on Sundays from noon until 5 PM. The site is closed Mondays and holidays, except Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.

 

Please allow 2 hours for your visit. Visitors wanting guided tours of the site should call ahead for daily tour times. Hours may be subject to change.Admission is charged

  • Senior Citizens - ( 65+ ) $8.00
  • Under 2 years - No Charge
