Manuscript Group 332 – Henry Mohn Family Collection; 1844 – 1958, 1.5 cu. ft.
Henry Mohn, son of Albert and Melina Feucht Mohn, was born on December 8, 1902. Melina was a daughter of Henry Feucht, a member of the Harmony Society and blacksmith in Leetsdale, Allegheny County. Materials in the collection relate primarily to the Feuchts of Leetsdale, with some Mohn family items acquired after Albert married Melina Feucht in 1898. Correspondence and receipts (1844-1958) are mainly between members of the Feucht family and to Mrs. Mohn, including letters written by Melina’s sister Emilia on her tour of Europe in 1901.The other large group is photographs of family, friends, homes, and other buildings in Leetsdale, including views of floods that occurred in 1907 and 1936 and a Mohn family trip to the western United States in 1926. An 1871 German language Bible with the family genealogy is also included. The Henry Mohn Family Collection has been moved to Old Economy Village.
These materials have all been transferred to the PHMC’s Old Economy Village Historic Site.
