Come see the re-created Harmonist natural history museum.  Under the direction of Dr. Johann Christoph Muller, the Harmony Society operated a public museum from the mid-1820s until it closed in 1850.  It was the first of its kind west of the Allegheny Mountains.

Our volunteer gardeners are eager to show off the elegant 19th century gardens.  These volunteers spend a rather large number of hours tending to the garden and will be available for questions and to give a brief tour of the garden.

There is not just one garden at Old Economy Village but several.  The Beaver County Chapter of the Penn State Master Gardeners volunteers and maintains the 19th century Herb Garden.  They also maintain the Baker House garden.  Pat Leiphart and her husband Warren Kinneer are the main volunteers from this group.  Pat retired from Old Economy Village and has maintained the Baker House garden since the 1980s.
