Archives

The Old Economy Village Archives hold the largest collection of information about the Harmony Society. The collection contains six manuscript groups, an historic library, and collections of music, maps, drawings, and wallpaper. Major topics covered by the archives and library include but are not limited to music, architecture, religion, business, and photographs.

 

Research is by appointment only, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - noon and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Contact Sarah Buffington at (724) 266-4500, ext. 111 or sbuffingto@pa.gov.

 

Please refer to the manuscript listings prior to your arrival to determine what you would like to research and to save time during your scheduled time.  Use of information in the archives is regulated by the Pennsylvania State Archives in accordance with their fee schedule.  Please refer to the Fee Schedules listed below.
